The doctors who identified it said that some of the patients had permanent damage in their larynx due to the presence of White Fungus. Therefore, the doctors named it as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COX-19). The major cause behind the spread of white fungus was identified as Streptococcus viridans. The name of the drug used for treating the patients with COX-19 was Covid-19.
According to studies, more than fifteen thousand people in India suffer from fungal infections every year. According to the researchers, fungal infections are the major cause of mortality in infants in India. There are many reasons why patients from India suffer from this condition and the chief one is poor hygienic conditions in the country. For example, most of the people in India do not use a proper toilet while drinking water which is a very important factor for avoiding the spread of the white fungus.
Apart from this, another reason for the high rate of deaths in infants due to fungal infections is that they are deficient in immunity. In other words, they do not have sufficient immunity cells in their body. In most of cases, it has been found that the parents of the infants are the ones who get affected by the disease. The researchers say that lack of immunity can be due to genetic problems and stress. This is known as ‘pre-existing’ immunity. The study says that most of the infants who suffer from this condition have a low grade of immunity which means that their immunity is not at par with the normal standards.
Other causes of this infection include HIV/AIDS, sepsis, and meningitis. Most of the patients of this condition are those who suffer from invasive pulmonary diseases. They are generally those who have had a diagnosis of meningitis or adenoids. In most of cases, patients who have been treated with antibiotics show no signs of white fungus. Even though the symptoms of meningitis and pneumonitis are very similar, the treatment given to patients with these diseases may be quite different.
The Aiims professor of this study says that if the patients are to succeed in getting rid of the white fungal infection, they should try natural remedies, especially those that have natural anti-bacterial properties. These medicines include curd, which are prepared from goats milk; fenugreek, which has anti-inflammatory properties; and cumin, which has been used to alleviate respiratory problems in children. One of the best remedies that the doctors suggest is that of washing all the infected private parts with Listerine mouthwash.
A lung infection might develop suddenly and there will be a burning sensation in the throat and the breathing may become difficult. There could be fever and chills. As the symptoms develop, the patient may feel weak and clammy. There will be no discharge and the skin around the nose and the throat may turn white and the breathing will become shallow. If the symptoms are not treated in time, then they might get worse and lead to severe respiratory disease and may also lead to death.
